Christine Ainsley

Christine's happy place is playing music with others and in retrospect is glad she was allocated the violin at school. She enjoyed many years as a member of Derby Concert Orchestra and playing chamber music with friends.

Not immediately discovering opportunities for classical music on return to North Northumberland, she launched herself enthusiastically into the traditional music scene, learning hundreds of tunes on the way, and now plays fiddle regularly with Alnwick Pipers' society, Fiddlezonely, informal groups and Sessions. She is delighted to be a member of Berwick Baroque Players, another new string to her bow.
