Margaret Gudgeon
Margaret Gudgeon has been an accompanist for most of her musical life. She has played the piano for singers, instrumentalists, grade exams, ballet classes, operatic societies and choral groups. She was accompanist for the Berwick Arts Choir for eighteen years.
She and her husband run a successful B&B in Berwick from their rather grand Victorian home, Castle Vale House, overlooking the River Tweed and Royal Border Bridge. Margaret has been married to Justin for more than fifty years and they have ten children. and thirty-eight grandchildren.
Most memorable music moment: My youngest child was born in a room above the jazz club we owned in London. I remember Justin proudly taking her downstairs to show off to the musicians and punters, much to the alarm of the midwife - and myself.
