A member of several traditional groups in the Borders’ region, she musically directs the Wooler-based Glendale Community Ceilidh Band as well as Tribe, an all-female a-Capella group.
Susie is on the organising committees of two local charities: Wooler Arts and What a Wonderful World Festival – an annual 4-day environmental festival in Alnwick which aims to raise awareness of rural climate issues through the Arts. As well as the violin, she plays the piano and the Northumbrian pipes.
Most memorable moment: A Jazz-lover, one of my most memorable musical moments was singing with a French Jazz group on a Seine River cruiser at the wedding of my French friends in Paris.
